Program Description

Undergraduate business students are encouraged to experience the world from "down-under! " You'll get a unique view of the world from Queensland.  Situated in the South Pacific, Australia's business focus is very much on the Asia-Pacific region.  Two course offerings in marketing and supply chain management will help students learn about Australia's business environment.

Cultural differences between nations further complicate the nature of business relationships and transactions.  Australian guest lecturers and visits to local businesses will provide an opportunity to see business issues from the Australian perspective and to understand the complexity of managing business activities across multiple time zones, cultures, and political systems.

Students will also have several unique cultural experiences:  a glimpse into the Aboriginal culture, Eumundi Market, and exploration of the city of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast.  Students will explore the eco-environment of Fraser Island, which includes dingos and other local fauna, with potential for whale watching and dolphin encounters.
